Springboro Sunshine Camp is an annually-offered summer camp for kids from ages 4 to 12. Each week, campers have the opportunity to participate in a variety of fun, outdoor activities. Sing-alongs, creeking, various sports and games, a trip to UDF, and water balloon tosses are just a few of the fun activities that take place here at camp. Camps are led by kind, enthusiastic lead counselors (see our staff page here). Several teen counselors, known as "fireflies," also aid in running the camp and form great friendships with the campers.
Springboro Sunshine Camp began 30 years ago in 1994 and has been a wonderful experience for our campers every year since. It was started by Lori Dorn and Debbie Cottongim, who is the current camp director. The camp was originally held for 3 weeks in the summer with 50-60 campers in attendance. Since then, it has grown to host over 300 campers over 4 weeks and is a much-anticipated event for families in Springboro and the surrounding area.
There's something for every camper at Sunshine Camp! Each day of the week has a "theme," such as carnival day, sports day, or nature day. To start the day off, campers are allowed to play on the playground, the basketball court, or with the fireflies in a field game of Mushroom Ball (a long-time camp favorite). Campers get the chance to meet other kids, try new things, and, most importantly, have fun with their friends in a safe, supportive environment!

CAMP 1
June 10th-14th
Ages 4-6
This week is geared for our youngest campers. We cater their beginning camping experience with plenty of teen helpers and lots of time to play and explore. We will visit the creek near the end of the week for a chance to splash in the shallow water and look for critters. The last day will be our Sunshine Camp "Carnival Day," with lots of games and prizes.
CAMP 2
June 17th-21st
Ages 5-10
Our core camps offer a variety of activities for our elementary-aged campers. We sing lots of silly songs, play games in the woods, and visit the creek to find critters and splash around. During the week, we will visit the other end of the park for a sports-themed day (did anyone say pickleball?!) including a trip to UDF for a sweet treat!
CAMP 3
June 24th - 28th
Ages 5-10

The "senior" campers! First year? 8th year? Somewhere between? This camp is our ultimate experience for your camper. During the week, we will visit the other end of the park for a sports-themed day and enjoy a treat from UDF. We love to visit the creek as much as possible and, of course, we end our week with a WILD challenge course (apologies in advance for the mud stains)!
